Sampoerna Corner Library, Indonesia As we know Joomla is a CMS (Content Management System) which is great for managing dynamic web site content. The question is - can one use Joomla for static web sites?  The answer is yes.

I have an example for this - Sampoerna Corner - Airlangga University. I developed it with Joomla, because I really love working with Joomla. But after a few years, we have no new content to keep up with. So I decided the best way is to continue it as a static web site.  I still want to use Joomla.  So i'm started to look for a static template for Joomla.

I found a template called "Emporium" and used it to redesign our web site.

This is a commercial template (Emporium, WR July '07 theme) which you can purchase at Web Revolution; or you can download the free demo here.

Cheers from Indonesia,

Nurma
