Page Access Denied

One of the many things I enjoy working with Joomla is the ease of updating links and navigational menu items.

Recently, I have been receiving reports of dead-end links (see screen shot) to serveral S.C. County information pages.

After numerous fix attempts, the problem persisted.  Now I'm really getting frustrated!!!

Are Flickr Modules Good for Library Websites?

Flickr Photo SharingSCSL Portal is using a Flickr Most Recent Images module on serveral of its pages, including the homepage.  When I visited the Homepage today, I have noticed serveral things:

  1. The page was half-way loaded
  2. It was taking a long time to load the rest of the content
  3. On the status bar, it said - "Looking for Flickr ... "
  4. I connected to Flickr.com and the website was temporarily down.

The Atlantic City Free Public Library Joomla Presentation This is a Microsoft Powerpoint presentation given at The New Jersey Library Association 2007 Annual Conference in Long Branch, NJ, April 24, 2007. The title of the program was "Let's Mambo at the Library: Using Content Management Systems (CMS) to create dynamic websites". Between the time of the announcement of the program and the presentation, I had migrated from Mambo to Joomla so the presentation is really about Joomla CMS.
