EZProxy - 2008/02/12 05:47 Is anybody using Ezproxy to authenticate there users in Joomla ? I'm all new to this Ezproxy would anyone offer some help it would be greatly appreciated.

I've read the documentation about how it should be used, but I'm guessing you need to write into a the php file or component to initiate that right ?

We are on an intranet, and need remote login for registered users and no username or password if your on the intranet [a certain ip range].

I'm not sure how to or where to start.

If someone can help it would be awesome !!

Re:EZProxy - 2008/02/17 15:17 For years, I used Sirsi-Dynix Remote Patron Authentication and spent many hours on the telephone to various Database Vendors trying to get things to work consistently. Then I discovered that Database Vendors (most of them) will set up authentication for you on their servers (Gale, EBSCOhost, etc...) Since I switched over to all of the vendors authenticating, I have had no problems.

Yes, I guess it would be nice to have the Joomla registration or Community Builder Component link to your Integrated Library System but I do not know of anyone who has attempted this yet.

The Ann Arbor District Library in Michigan has successfully integrated Drupal with Innovative.
