Howdy, my "real" name is Sarah and... - 2007/04/12 20:46
I am a Library and Information Science student at Wayne State University in Detroit. Additionally, I work at the Soutfield Public Library as an intern in their Technology department. I started a little over a year ago and have have been working and learning nonstop ever since.
One of my intern duties has been to research and find an open source software for the development of our library's new intranet. I initially chose Mambo, but had problems with it only to later realize Joomla is where it's at. We now have it installed and I am in the middle of testing and cutomizing it.
With that said, I hope this site grows exponentially in both its users and informative subject matter, as it is sure to provide invaluable knowledge for all of us novices. I hope to post about my experiences with Joomla soon as well. And I'm sure I'll have questions to post here on the forum.
