Editable Pages - 2007/07/01 21:29 I am working on a Joomla site for a local library association and I'd like to make it so that they can add and edit pages without logging into the admin panel. I see that there is a MediaWiki extension - but I don't want people to need to use wiki syntax. Are there any other options available?

Re:Editable Pages - 2007/07/02 13:43 Nicole, identify your content contributors and assign them permissions of Editors or above.

Adding new pages: depending on how your content is organized (content sections and categories), in the Joomla Admin control panel, add new User Menu Item - Submit Content, to enable users submitting content on the front end.

Editing static pages, you can assign ownerships of these page to different individuals. Once they are logged in in the front end, they can edit pages that are assigned to them.

robcoers
recommended a Group Access Manager component in this thread. It may be worth it for you to take a look at.

Please let me know if this helps. Welcome to our community!

Re:Editable Pages - 2007/07/02 13:58 Thanks! I'll give this a look when I get a chance - probably on the 4th and let you know how it works out.
