Click here to see the profile of this user 		EZProxy - 2008/02/12 05:47 Is anybody using Ezproxy to authenticate there users in Joomla ? I'm all new to this Ezproxy would anyone offer some help it would be greatly appreciated.

I've read the documentation about how it should be used, but I'm guessing you need to write into a the php file or component to initiate that right ?

We are on an intranet, and need remote login for registered users and no username or password if your on the intranet [a certain ip range].

I'm not sure how to or where to start.

If someone can help it would be awesome !!

Then I discovered that Database Vendors (most of them) will set up authentication for you on their servers (Gale, EBSCOhost, etc...) Since I switched over to all of the vendors authenticating, I have had no problems.

Yes, I guess it would be nice to have the Joomla registration or Community Builder Component link to your Integrated Library System but I do not know of anyone who has attempted this yet.

i am newbie here and i am trying to use ezproxy to authenticate user into joomla. I am not a programmer, but i can understand the programming script. if anybody can help me how to write or modify joomla login script to point the authentication from ezproxy. What i am thinking is, when joomla send the query to ezproxy authentication, checking it into database and the ezproxy will send back to joomla and confirm the validation into joomla. in the same time the valid user also will register into the joomla database so that next login, joomla only check with their own db.

Hope fully here a programmer can help me on this.
