Integrated Library Systems and Joomla Bridges - 2007/05/01 15:42 I'm interested in collaborating with any Joomla developers to created bridges for ILS and Joomla:

  • Commercial ILS. Sirsi's Integrated Library System is used at SCSL. I'm also interested to know what ILS your library is using?

  • Open Source ILS Solutions, such as, Greenstone

Are there any ILS Subject Experts out there?
Can you review this open source ILS system - Koha and share what you think about it in this thread?

Re:Integrated Library Systems and Joomla Bridges - 2007/05/02 17:42 This is a great forum post! I would also like to hear from anyone using or experimenting with php/yaz and Joomla. I have started developing an item list extension for Joomla. I've basically modified the old Mambo Book Library component. My plans are to include php/yaz and bypass my Sirsi-Dynix Horizon Information Portal (HIP) all together but for now when you "click" on an image or the link you go over to HIP.

Re:Integrated Library Systems and Joomla Bridges - 2007/05/03 15:55 Bob,

What "lovely" *cough, cough* version of HIP/Horizon are you on? We are on 4.1.x/7.4. Our PHP Guru has been tweaking data from the Horizon db to make our full bib display in AquaBrowser look much better.

New version of AB (still in development but to be released by end of month) - http://hcl.medialab.nl/

Compared to full bib display that pulls from HIP -

He also did our recently purchased lists in PHP and pulled the data directly from Horizon. Works 100% than it did before. http://www.hclibrary.org/readers/view_list.php?code=10
Sorry it isn't Joomla. Thank God he is working on our new website because the old one is just so YUCK!
