Why did you choose Joomla? - 2007/06/07 12:42
I'm going to recommend Joomla to my library over other CMSses that I tested (Drupal, ExpressionEngine) because of several reasons (they get to decide, but they're probably going to go with my informed opinion):
- more intuitive/easier to use
- huge user base means lots of support
- lots of modules
- quality of modules seems higher than Drupal's
- open source
The only negatives of Joomla I've found so far are:
- No versioning system. I found a module that does versioning but it doesn't seem as robust as the versioning system of some other CMSses
- No built in ability to edit user groups and access rights for each group... have yet to explore modules for this, maybe there is a good solution
What are some of the reasons your library has chosen to use Joomla?
