What an interesting read! Thanks Adri for posting this.
I have purchased numerous commercial components and templates - time saved for me and money saved for people who commissioned me to develop their their websites. As a programmer, I know the tremendous amount time one has to spend on developing a component/product and should be compensated for it. People can't live on good will alone. I don't expect to get it all for free.
