I used the original Mambo Events Calendar for a year and liked the functionality. I experimented with both JCal Pro and ExtCalendar but did not use them once I noticed that the Mambo Events Calendar has been updated for Joomla. This extension is JEvents located at http://forge.joomla.org/sf/projects/jevents .
The development cycle is good and there is promising enhancement talk concerning Joomla 1.5 version compatibility as well as import and export iCal data.
