I'm so excited... I could jump back and kiss myself!!!
After months development and testing, DISCUS, South Carolina's Virtual Library, finally went live today. Powered by Joomla, the new portal is designed to be aesthetic, functional, organic, interactive, and people-centric for South Carolinians to access thousands of magazines, newspapers, and reference books online. |

As we know Joomla is a CMS (Content Management System) which is great for managing dynamic web site content. The question is - can one use Joomla for static web sites? The answer is yes.
I have an example for this - Sampoerna Corner - Airlangga University. I developed it with Joomla, because I really love working with Joomla. But after a few years, we have no new content to keep up with. So I decided the best way is to continue it as a static web site. I still want to use Joomla. So i'm started to look for a static template for Joomla. |
